We've had a week! After watching the situation with  COVID-19 take  a turn, we made the agonizing decision  of postponing this weekend's Newport Knitting Retreat and Makers Market. There was so much behind the scenes effort from Lizzie, Casapinka and our amazing vendors to bring you a great shopping experience.  Now we have extra time to plan - shooting for late Fall 2020!Now, in consideration for our staff and customers, we have closed our doors and postponed all workshops, classes and Knit-Ins.  All workshops will be rescheduled. We are in and out daily, so email hello@themermaidspurl to inquire about free shipping, drop off or curbside delivery. We are also offering a Virtual Shopping experience.  Simply email us with your pattern or yarn requirements and we will send you a carefully curated video of yarn  options. Whether you’re on lockdown or not, let’s get knitting something fun and relaxing that will take your mind off your toilet paper woes. An asymmetric rectangle, frequently changing stitches (some made up, but most quite simple) will keep you distracted and occupied as we all go through this tough time together. There are never more than 114 stitches on your needle. We will be knitting together virtually.  I'll be setting up a Facebook group  and sending out email updates as we go.  Let's cheer each other on through this unsettling time. With the help of Caspainka -  GigiBonin and Jilly & Kiddles have put together some beautiful kits for us to choose from!
