Andrea Mowry’s 2025 Rhinebeck Sweater, Ooey Gooey, was an instant hit—and for good reason! This playful, addictive design features curves and polka dots created with stranded colorwork, all worked seamlessly from the top down in the round. Whether it’s your first foray into colorwork or you’re a seasoned knitter looking for your next joyful project, this intermediate-level pattern has plenty to explore and enjoy.

In this 4-session workshop, we’ll guide you through the entire sweater process, breaking it down step by step so you can knit with confidence and ease. Along the way, you’ll learn and practice key techniques, including:

Color Planning Tips – Get help choosing and pairing yarns (especially hand-dyed or variegated) to make those dots sing.

Yoke Shaping & Short Rows – Create a beautifully fitted neckline using short rows and increase techniques tailored for a comfortable, flattering fit.

Stranded Colorwork – Master the art of knitting with two colors in the same row, including managing float tension, yarn dominance, and how to hold your yarn efficiently (both English and Continental styles welcome!).

Welts – Add eye-catching texture to your fabric using tucked welts, a fun and dimensional technique that really makes this design pop.

Top-Down Sweater Construction – Learn how to work your sweater seamlessly from the neckline down, allowing for easy adjustments and try-ons as you go.

Sweater Knitting Confidence – From cast-on to finishing touches, we’ll support you every step of the way so you walk away with a sweater you love.

Taylor has broken the project into 4 classes from 1–3 PM
