Xyla is a bold and dynamic addition to Moonstruck Knit's grand mosaic shawl collection, designed to spark creativity and invite color exploration. The rhythmic flow of the mosaic technique makes it both meditative and engaging, with enough variety to keep every row exciting.
Whether you lean into subtle harmony or daring contrasts, this shawl transforms your stitches into a showstopping interplay of pattern and texture. It’s a joy to knit and a statement to wear – perfect for makers who love color and bold design.
CONSTRUCTION
Xyla begins with a cast-on for the center section, which is worked first. Once complete, the stitches are placed on hold, and stitches are picked up along one side to create the left wing. The left wing is worked sideways and shaped with decreases. Afterwards, the right wing is worked in a mirrored fashion. Finally, stitches are picked up along the wings, and the border is worked down to the lower edge.
