A little holiday magic, made especially for knitters.
Preorders go LIVE Thursday, October 8 @ 8am and will be open for 1 week only!
The Mermaid’s Purl Box of Treasures is a limited-edition holiday gift box filled with beautiful yarn, special surprises, and plenty of knitting joy. Treat your favorite knitter—or, even better, treat yourself.
What’s inside? Well… it’s a surprise, of course! But we can give you a little peek.
At the heart of each Box of Treasures is a custom-curated Koigu Pencil Box, created especially for The Mermaid’s Purl. Inside are 10 hand-painted mini skeins inspired by the colors of the ocean and its spectacular creatures.
Each mini set includes 10 unique shades of Koigu’s signature KPPPM fingering-weight merino, with a generous 870 yards total. We’re also including a simple pattern designed especially for the minis, so you can cast on and knit your way through your treasures as you open them.
We’ve been working closely with the Koigu team to create a gorgeous, cohesive color fade across all 10 skeins. Each mini gives you a little hint of what’s coming next as the colors flow from one to another—making opening (and knitting!) your way through the box part of the fun.
Want MORE YARN? You can opt for 10 full skeins of KPPPM. The same beautiful fade as the minis, but full 50g skeins of Koigu's signature yarn. At 176 yards each, that's a total of 1760 yards.
We'll also include a sweater pattern for this option!
And because no treasure chest is complete with just yarn, we’ve tucked in a menagerie of knitting haberdashery, treats, and self-care goodies chosen especially for makers. The rest will remain a surprise until you open your box!
Whether you’re gifting it to your favorite knitting friend or keeping every last treasure for yourself, this is a limited-edition holiday box designed to make the season a little more magical.
