This time of year when I look out the window all I see is grey so we're kicking off our 2024 Knit Ahead Club with an infusion of color!
Our Spincycle Mitts are a sweet little accessory that promise to put a smile on someone's face. Since they are knit back and forth using a very simple twisted rib pattern they work up quickly. A cleverly designed thumb gusset combined with a stretchy fabric means these fit snuggly on your hands.
We're using "Dyed in the Wool" from Spincycle yarns for this project. Dyed in the Wool is their sport weight yarn, so these gloves are lightweight. They will keep your hands warm without restricting the use of your fingers.
Spincycle Yarns are the original hand-dyed self striping yarns. The bold colors transition into another, creating a wonderful effect.
Each kit contains one skein of Dyed in the Wool and the Spincycle Mitts pattern.
The pattern calls for size 5 needles. You can use straights or circulars.
PRO TIP: Each and every skein of Spincycle yarns is unique. If you have a strong preference for certain colors, let us know in the "notes" section at checkout. Super saturated? Pale and wintry? The one with more blue and less pink? We will do our very best to meet your criteria.
The sample was knit using our custom colorway, Siren Song. Some skeins have a lot of bold oranges and yellows like the one we used, while others are mostly blues and turquoise. Let us know what you prefer!
